La lista della spesa del Manchester United, con Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish e Kalidou Koulibaly in cima alla lista, potrebbe essere troppo costosa persino per i forniti forzieri dei Red Devils.
Nobody should be under any illusions about the scale of challenge facing everyone in football and it may not be ‘business as usual’ for any clubs, including ourselves, in the transfer market this summer. (Nessuno si faccia illusioni sulla grandezza della sfida che il calcio dovrà affrontare ed il prossimo calciomercato potrebbe non essere il “solito business” per nessun club, compresi noi)
Ed Woodward ci tiene a precisare che il futuro ed il successo del Manchester United è ovviamente prioritario ma il monito per i tifosi è estremamente chiaro:

Visti i circa 300 milioni di € necessari per questi obiettivi, è chiaro che lo United calcolerà le proprie uscite in maniera molto accorta. I ritmi da 700 milioni di € all’anno sostenuti negli ultimi 7 anni potrebbero non essere più fattibili finchè la situazione non tornerà ad una parvenza di normalità.
